how to disable msn messenger into your hotmail
how to disable msn messenger live into your email
I've been having hard time to find how to disable windows live messenger from my email. The problem that was causing was...
when I signed into my msn live messenger from windows, my msn live messenger signed out automatically each time I was in my hotmail account and my hotmail page would have my msn live messenger signed in.
after a couple of hours of research and realizing that some of us had this problem.I've found a solution to fix this frustrating thing and it end up to be something ridiculous.....i was blind folded! but anyways...
It turn out to be Windows Live Web Messenger for your "hotmail account" and windows live messenger for your "actual windows".
Follow the following pics and this should fix this problem of your msn live messenger....
1-showing my Windows Live Web Messenger "online" and my windows live messenger "sign out"
2-Go over your name at the top right of the hotmail page and a drop down menu will appear
3-into the drop down menu click "Sign out of Messenger"
4-once signed-out
5-Windows Live Web Messenger Signed out and my windows live messenger signed in
6-everything works without getting my windows live messenger signed out.
conclusion
hopefully by following these steps 1 to 6 help you out and help you figured how blindfolded we all are at some point in this world specially when we don't look at the right places but the good thing is, we are all safe somehow my love ones!.
thanks for your time and good luck my friends.
also I've came across other fix about this but didn't work for me but might work for you if all the above didn't.
1) Open up Internet Explorer 2) Click on Tools > "Manage Add-ons" > "Enable or Disable Add-ons". 3) When the window opens, click on the drop-down tab at the top and select "Add-ons that run without requiring permission". 4) Scroll down to "Windows Live" and disable the file "MSGSC1~1.dll". 5) You will have to restart Internet Explorer.

It still signs me back in every time I check my e-mail. This doesn't actually solve anything.
Your "other fix" is for another problem, some users, when checking hotmail, would have the actual MSN application launch. That's the fix for that.

How old is this solution? I don't see anywhere it saying "Sign out of Messenger" -- Go figure Microsoft probably removed that link so out lives would be a little harder.
